Along with educational and outreach programs, Geosociety hosts plenty of social events throughout the semester. These events are open to all members and food is usually provided. Dates and times for each event will be posted on the home page following our first Fall 2008 meeting. Below are just a few of the many social events that occur throughout the year.

Movie Nights

Movie nights are held once a month in the reading room. Enjoy poking fun at how wrong Hollywood is when it comes to geology themed movies while enjoying pizza and drinks.

Cougar Bowling

Come hang out with fellow students and bowl a few frames at the UH Game Room in the University Center.

Annual Ice Skating

Come out and help continue a recently started tradition of ice skating over Winter Break at the Galleria (even if you have never ice skated)!

Tubing the Frio!

What's better than chillin' (literally) on the river with a bunch of friends after finals? This trip involves tent camping at Garner State Park for a few days, hiking, tubing, fun, etc.
